Sunrise Clinical was founded by Justin and Amelia Jacka. Together, we bring experience in clinical research, business strategy and people leadership.

Justin has 25 years of experience in clinical research across APAC, including leading global teams, and was a 2024 PharmaTimes finalist.

Amelia brings 25 years in business and HR, supporting organisations through growth and change. She leads Sunrise’s finances, marketing, strategy and day-to-day business operations.

Trials conducted to international Good Clinical Practice standards can support regulatory submissions in Australia and overseas. The right pathway and timelines depend on the product, study design and sites involved.

We help sponsors understand the practical requirements and plan an approach that fits their study.

Clinical trials conducted in Australia must have a sponsor that is an Australian entity. An overseas company can work with an Australian sponsor, but appointing an agent does not transfer the sponsor’s overall responsibility.

The sponsor is responsible for initiating and managing the trial, arranging its financing and overseeing the work delegated to others, including compliance with applicable laws, Good Clinical Practice and Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) requirements.
